Tien Anh Nguyen

Director of Market Insights

Tien-Anh is a long time team member, having started at OpenView in 2007 and later on joined the founding team at OpenView Labs. He leads the Research and Analytics team, which leverages innovative market research and analytical tools to provide incisive strategic insights spanning Go to Market, Business Development and Product Management to our portfolio management teams. Over the last 8 years, Tien Anh has consulted with every company in OpenView’s portfolio on a broad range of projects and has developed significant market knowledge and research expertise in enterprise SaaS markets such as online storage, infrastructure as a service, marketing automation technologies and vertical applications.


Tien Anh graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Mathematics, cum laude, and earned an MBA in Finance and Strategy, with Distinction, from the Kellogg School of Management.

Tien Anh’s long standing interest in community service and charitable endeavors has seen him engaged with a diverse range of organizations, from the long running charity cancer benefit ice skating show “An Evening with Champions”, to Phillips Brooks House Association, the largest student-run public service organization in the United States, among others. He is currently a Board member at VietHope, a non-profit organization that creates education opportunities for children in Vietnam.
