Great Content from Outside Sources

Re-purpose externally created content to enhance your site.

In order to supply your audience with a wealth of rich, useful content, you may want to look beyond internally created content. According to Amanda Maksymiw of OpenView Labs, industry insiders have seen a significant uptick in the re-purposing of externally created content on aggregated content sites.

  • It helps to position your company as a thought-leader.
  • Summaries are an excellent tool to present engaging, valuable content to readers.

Maksymiw outlines the four steps used by OpenView Labs to curate great, applicable content in a recent blog post. She explains best practices for identifying content, working with freelancers on summaries, and quality control.
