AtTask Cited as a Strong Performer by Forrester

AtTask was among the select companies invited by Forrester to participate in its December 2009 report: “The Forrester Wave?: Project Portfolio Management, Q4 2009.” In this evaluation, AtTask was cited as a strong performer among both Business-Driven and IT-Driven Portfolios.

“What started as a team-focused work management tool has evolved into a product that enables users to take planning from the portfolio level to the project and activity management level without sacrificing its easy to use streamlined approach,” write report authors Margo Visitacion, Tim DeGennaro, et al. “AtTask is one of the fastest growing vendors in the PPM market with good reason.”

In Forrester’s evaluation, AtTask scored five out of five for Corporate Strategy, Cost, Revenue, and Revenue Growth for both Business-Driven and IT-Driven Portfolios, with recognition for core functionality including: Methodology, Release Support, Business Cases, Advanced Planning, Ease of Custom Integration and Focus on Usability. AtTask is “well positioned to deliver high value for a reasonable cost,” write the authors.

The need to find a better way to get work done is changing the way business leaders look at project visibility and accountability. Because organizations–including those beyond traditional IT–need to react quickly to changing markets, executive visibility into every initiative is critical for validating that corporate strategy is executed in the projects undertaken by the workforce.

“Relying exclusively on a top-down approach to work management makes it possible to use resources without utilizing them effectively,” said Scott Johnson, AtTask’s CEO. “To promote greater visibility, accountability and operational effectiveness, AtTask provides a work management solution that also engages the workforce, allowing information to seamlessly flow up to executives. User involvement empowers good decision making.”
