Central Desktop for Office Now in Beta

With the release of Central Desktop for Office into public beta, Central Desktop users will see a new download option when viewing Microsoft Office files. The new “Open in MS Office” button allows users to immediately open and edit Word, PowerPoint and Excel files in Microsoft Office.

For Central Desktop for Office users, this is a significant advancement in the way that users interact with Microsoft Office files in the cloud. This new download option coupled with Central Desktop for Office bridges a major workflow gap for many users. Users no longer will need to download, edit, then replace files to Central Desktop. Users can now “Open in MS Office,” edit the file as needed, and Save. That’s it. The file is saved to Central Desktop automatically.
