Exinda Announces Appointment of Robert H. Scott to Chairman of Its Board of Directors

Exinda, a global provider of WAN optimization solutions featuring Unified Performance Management (UPM), today announced the appointment of Robert H. Scott to Chairman of Exinda’s board of directors. Mr. Scott brings more than 30 years of executive experience in the technology industry.

Mr. Scott was invited to join Hewlett Packard in 2008 following its acquisition of Colubris Networks where he, as Colubris’ Chief Executive Officer, had navigated the transaction. He led the resulting business unit’s Worldwide Sales division to record numbers before taking over the incubation and growth of HP’s visual collaboration venture. Prior to Colubris, Mr. Scott led a number of technology companies including Xelor, which was acquired by Avaya. Most recently, Mr. Scott he has led five startups, two restarts and one internally-incubated venture.

In 2002, he achieved Ernst and Young’s Telecom Sector Entrepreneur of the Year and New Hampshire High Tech Council’s Entrepreneur of the Year after raising three rounds of funding and increasing Octave Communications’ revenues ten-fold.

Robert H. Scott is also currently serving as Board Director for Bradford Networks and Square 1 Bank, and sits on the Advisory Boards of Windspeed Ventures and White Glove Healthcare. He has supported the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Alumni Institute on the Advisory Council since 2002 and as National Judge since 2007.
