Exinda Partner Inks Deal with ContentKeeper

Distributor Packet Technologies has signed a new partnership to establish a local presence for Australian-based enterprise web security company ContentKeeper.

Packet Technologies general manager Frank Ollie says the vendor is well established in Australia and other parts of Asia, but hadn’t considered setting up in New Zealand prior to this agreement.

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to bring ContentKeeper’s technology to New Zealand because they are a leader in their field,” he says.

ContentKeeper has recently collaborated with Exinda to provide a combined internet filtering, network visibility and bandwidth management offering. Packet Technologies has been distributing Exinda network performance and monitoring products since 2000.

“ContentKeeper’s collaboration with Exinda is something we can leverage based on our large installed base of Exinda products. We see this technology to be in increasing demand as companies review staff productivity and internet abuse.”

Packet Technologies plans to deliver ContentKeeper internet filtering and Exinda bandwidth management offerings as a bundle. The company may distribute more ContentKeeper products in future.

Ollie says his company has had considerable success with Exinda since the partnership began 10 years ago.

“We’ve expanded the Exinda market share in New Zealand by as much as 13 percent in the last calendar year, one of the toughest years on record for the technology sector.”

ContentKeeper Australia sales and marketing director Manish Kumar says the company chose Packet because of its current agency portfolio, which spans datacentre management, endpoint security, WAN optimisation and internet traffic monitoring.

“Packet Technologies will enable customers in New Zealand to not only have greater visibility and control over network traffic, but reduce non-business related activity, accelerate data and application access for users, and help secure corporate networks and information from web-based threats.”
