Skytap Appoints Software Industry Veteran As Vice President of Engineering

Seattle, WA – February 11, 2010 – Skytap, Inc. today announced the appointment of Brad Schick as vice president of engineering and operations. As a member of Skytap’s management team, Schick will drive the development of the company’s self-service cloud automation solution for dynamic IT workloads such as test and development, virtual training and software demos.

Schick is a seasoned software industry executive with a solid mix of business acumen and hands-on development across all product lifecycle phases. Prior to Skytap, Schick founded Wegos, Inc., an innovative gaming startup. Before this, he served as vice president of engineering at Vizrea Corporation, which was acquired by Microsoft for its innovative media sharing service. Prior to Vizrea, Schick served as a development manager at Microsoft where he led development teams on Windows and Internet Explorer, and designed complex software systems for Fortune 500 clients. Schick also served as a senior consultant at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, where he worked closely with clients to design and develop custom technology solutions. He was also an instructor at the University of Washington.
