uSamp Announces Donation Drive To Assist American Red Cross Efforts for Japan
Company Will Provide 10 Percent Match on All Rewards Survey-Takers Earn in March and April
ENCINO, Calif. (March 17, 2011) – uSamp (www.usamp.com), one of the world’s fastest growing technology and online sample companies, is joining the massive international effort to assist those affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The company announced today that its survey community, Surveyhead (www.surveyhead.com), will serve as the focal point of a donation campaign to help raise money for American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. During March and April, Surveyhead will match 10 percent of the value of a survey-taker’s reward and donate the funds to the international relief organization. The goal is to raise a total of $25,000 via its matching program.
“Every little bit helps,” said Gregg Lavin, President and co-founder, uSamp. “And in this case, we’re making it as easy as we can. All survey respondents need to do is participate in our surveys, and we will do the rest.”
Survey-takers also will have the option of donating accumulated reward balances in their accounts once they have reached the appropriate levels, with uSamp making the 10 percent match to the American Red Cross.
Gifts to the American Red Cross will support disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific. Donations to the Red Cross will aid Japan’s relief and recovery efforts through the Japanese Red Cross and possibly other organizations as experts on the ground determine the best way forward. Donations received by the Japanese Red Cross from people within Japan will be pooled and managed by an independent grant disbursement committee, which will include the Japanese Red Cross. The grants will be disbursed in installments in order to responsibly and effectively respond to the country’s evolving relief and recovery needs.
