VersionOne to Host AgilePalooza Community Event in Silicon Valley

VersionOne, recognized by agile practitioners as the leader in agile management tools, today announced that its popular AgilePalooza event is coming to Silicon Valley on September 14.

A leading agile development community event series, AgilePalooza brings together internationally recognized agile coaches and trainers with local software professionals for an intense one-day event focused on advancing agile methods. Through workshops and collaborative sessions with leading agile coaches, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in group discussions to advance their understanding of the agile mindset and the cultural change required for successful agile deployments. Steve Davis of DavisBase has over 20 years of professional information technology experience. Steve has participated in the development and deployment of large enterprise systems such as SAP, SharePoint, and Oracle as well as custom built solutions in healthcare, financial services, insurance, ecommerce, retail, construction and other industries. He has over nine years of Agile Implementation, Coaching and Training experience working with over 300 agile teams.

Steve Ropa has spent the last 17 years in software development, first as a programmer and later as a development manager and director. He has been involved in agile development for the past 10 years, been an active contributor to the Agile Denver community, and was on the organizing committee for Agile 2005. He has taught and led teams varying in size from small shops to large, distributed organizations in their agile transitions. Steven is currently an agile coach and product trainer for VersionOne.

Kevin Thompson, Ph.D. Agile Practice Lead at CPrime, has a doctorate in Physics from Princeton University, and extensive background in managing software development projects. He specializes in training individuals, teams and organizations in agile development. Dr. Thompson helps companies make the challenging transition to agile development by working with development teams and business stakeholders to identify their needs, define the right process for the business, determine the steps needed to implement the process and work through the steps successfully.

Jason Tanner, Enthiosys president and Innovation Games Qualified Instructor coaches, teaches and mentors product managers and teams to achieve their goals through agile principles and practices. He brings his professional experience with software companies, a telecommunications carrier and the Marine Corps to consulting engagements. His expertise spans agile software product management, product marketing, business planning, partner relationships, project management and leadership. Jason holds an engineering degree from Cornell and a MBA from Duke, and is a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Professional.

Lance B. Young, Director of Engineering Practices at SolutionsIQ, began applying agile principles prior to the early books that helped standardize the practices. Lance has more than 10 years of experience at all levels of agile implementation from team member to executive leadership and from technical to metaphysical. Lance applies an Agile Mindset to guide companies to full Agile adoption. Lance is a dynamic and humorous speaker whose objective is to bring out natural human creativity for the benefit of all involved parties.
