Zmags Wins Inaugural 2010 Bully Award
Boston, MA – Zmags, a leading provider of digital publishing software, was named a winner today for the inaugural 2010 Bully Award honouring the leading technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) companies, as presented by White Bull Summits.
By digitizing collateral, Zmags enables marketers to increase reach and readership, generate more online and offline revenue, lower production and distribution costs, and run a greener operation. The digital magazine software provides a unique opportunity to create an interactive experience that is impossible for readers to ignore. Analytics tracking within the magazine enables marketers to precisely track their readers’ behavior, so they can optimize their publication to the fullest extent.
“The Bully Award winners were selected for innovation and values of excellence in the TMT sector,” stated Farley Duvall, Founder and Chairman of White Bull Summits. “Each of the Bully Award winners has been recognized as a leader in their field, with a bright business proposition and meaningful market strategies, driven by a rich understanding of customer needs and technological solutions.”
A total of 60 companies were named as finalists for the 2010 Bully Award, and 30 were honoured as winners. The deserving winners were selected from a pool of entries that included hundreds of nominated TMT companies.
The winners fall into three categories:
- Yearlings: firms that seek or have received angel/seed rounds or equivalent; classic start-ups
- Young Bulls: firms that seek or have received Series A financing; early stage companies
- Longhorns: post Series A firms; growth stage companies
“We are thrilled and honoured to be named a Bully Award Winner and to be recognized as a leading company for innovation and disruption potential,” said Peter Velikin, Vice President of Marketing at Zmags. “Our zmag solution modernizes not only the way that marketers deliver information, but also the way their users engage with their brand. It’s both exciting and validating to be named a recipient of this prestigious award.”
Added Duval: “We searched for the ‘wily beast’ we believe lives inside all successful businesses,” adds Duvall. “We very carefully reviewed seed, angel, early-stage and growthstage companies, and selected 30 winners that we believe have demonstrated clear potential for further growth, including a high probability for exit in the next few years.”
