Zmags Wins Red Herring 100 Europe Award

BOSTON, MA – Zmags, which helps marketers engage customers through Interactive Collateral Management (ICM), announced today that it has been named a winner of the Red Herring 100 Europe, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year. Zmags, which maintains U.S. headquarters in Boston, announced in March that it was a finalist for the award. Winners were announced at the Red Herring 100 Europe 2009 conference, which took place in Berlin, Germany March 31 through April 2.

News of the award comes on the heels of Zmags’ recent announcement that the company tripled revenue in 2008, surpassing goals in every region even in the face of a challenging economy, and landing more than 1,600 new clients over the course of the year.

Zmags’ Interactive Collateral Management (ICM) solution provides a means to digitize and deliver interactive documents to customers, and then measure reading behavior. Zmags can be used to share any type of collateral online — including brochures, catalogs, magazines, direct mail and other business documents — to help marketers lower production costs, increase reach and generate more revenue. Zmags customers span multiple verticals — principally retail, travel and healthcare — and include companies such as 3M, Chevrolet, IKEA, Microsoft and Volkswagen.

“Zmags has tremendous momentum right now,” said company CEO Jens Karstoft. “We just closed the first quarter with a record number of new customers — more than 400 — and continue to receive very positive feedback on the newest version of our software-as-a-service. Winning the Red Herring 100 Europe award is a great way for us to kick off the second quarter of 2009.”
