Ahead of the curve with Agile and Scrum
March 24, 2010
Last week, I blogged about SAP’s focusing on Agile development methodology.
Today, I came across this article about eBay attributing its success of launching its analytics offering to Scrum.
It’s good to know OpenView Venture Partners has been ahead of the curve, having adopted Agile Scrum as the product management and development approach of choice for the expansion stage software companies in our investment portfolio.
We also adopted Scrum as a means of better providing operational support and strategic consulting services to our companies in all areas, ranging from sales and marketing, to finance and operations.
Like eBay and SAP, the companies in our venture capital portfolio who have aggressively adopted Scrum, with the help of OpenView Adviser and Scrum co-creator Jeff Sutherland, have seen tremendous success: faster output of better product.
And, most importantly, their customers have rewarded them for it.
