Another buzzworthy company by the name of BlogTalkRadio, recently took on some more expansion capital in the amount of $1.9M according to TechCrunch. BlogTalkRadio allows just about anyone start their own internet talk radio show or podcast. According to their website, “BlogTalkRadio is the largest and fastest-growing social radio network on the Internet. A truly democratized medium, BlogTalkRadio has tens of thousands of hosts and millions of listeners tuning in and joining the conversation each month. Many businesses also utilize the platform as a tool to extend their brands and join the conversation on the social web.”

This seems like an interesting way for any company at any stage, to use this tool to their advantage from a marketing standpoint. If there is a show related to your product or service, it would be beneficial to contact the host and see if there is a way you could chime-in as a guest speaker on the show. If the show you are targeting has a loyal following of listeners, it’s definitely a wise option to help get the word out about your company.

BlogTalkRadio had previously raised $4.6M in venture capital financing, and with this new expansion capital helping them propel their business growth strategies, I think you’ll be hearing a lot more about this company in the future.
