Breaking Down Complex Product Development Projects
February 2, 2012
Professor Steve Eppinger of the MIT Sloan business school teaches a course on complex product development management.
The purpose of the course is to give students the tools and understanding they need to accomplish large-scale, technical product development projects. Using concepts relating to complex projects, he delves into timing, project deliver, project efficiency and other related subjects.
Typically, the bulk of Eppinger’s students come from a corporate background because the professor has experience analyzing companies’ processes and projects — and figuring out how they can be improved upon. And since extra care is needed to manage complex projects, many professionals seek Eppiger’s guidance in order to be better prepared for their job-related duties.
