Buzzworthy Expense Reporting Software

December 17, 2009

Submitting expense reports can be a time consuming painful experience. I’m sure most of us would agree with that. There are plenty of options when it comes to expense reporting software, but I’ve recently noticed that one company is starting to create quite a buzz.

Expensify is an online expense report management company based out of San Francisco, California. If you go to their website, don’t be alarmed when you see “expense reports that don’t suck!” Expensify has received two rounds of venture capital financing totaling $2M. They seem to have a lot of very innovative additions to their simplified expense submission process. There are a large number of companies in this space, but Expensify recently added the option of taking a picture of your receipt with your Iphone, and emailing right to your expense report! You can also track your expenses using Salesforce, which many companies already use on a daily basis. These application integration methods, along with some venture capital financing have really gotten them a leg up on their competition. I stumbled upon an entertaining online interview with their CEO, David Barratt, if you’d like to check it out.
