Clicker Media Receives $11 million in Venture Capital Financing

Clicker Media Inc. issued a press release on February 18th to announce that it raised $11 million in a Series B round of venture capital investment. The press release informed that the venture funding round was led by Palo Alto-based JAFCO Ventures, with participation by Series A investors Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures. Clicker Media Inc. is the creators of the website Clicker, which is described by the company as the complete programming guide for Internet television, and was launched to the public in November 2009. The website offers comprehensive, structured, and unbiased catalog of programming available to watch online. It includes 600,000 complete TV episodes from over 10,000 online shows, in addition to over 30,000 movies from Netflix Instant Streaming and Amazon VOD, as well as more than 50,000 music videos. The press release informed that the company intended to use the expansion capital to support the Clicker’s product development, as well as building partnerships with consumer electronics and content providers.
