Company Goals: 2011 is Over, Time to Set up for 2012!

January 2, 2012

Another year has passed and it is now time to do your annual ritual that helps expansion stage companies set up for next year.  Here is a good outline on what some great management teams do to get set up:

  1. Review your corporate goals from 2011 and how you did against them.  This should be a pretty straightforward task as part of better understanding where you are.
  2. Perform a retrospective on the year that allows you to reflect on your year and help you better understand your current situation.  If you are interested in how to go about retrospectives, we released a free eB00k to help management teams perform better retrospectives.
  3. Consider your corporate aspirations and what updates you should make to them, if any.  If you don’t have corporate aspirations, we released a free eBook to help management teams develop their aspirations.
  4. Follow the rest of the checklist for being locked and loaded for the year.  You can get the “locked and loaded for the year checklist” here.

It takes a lot of work to get locked and loaded for the year, but it will save a lot of time over the course of the year if you get well set up for the year!
