The job of an expansion stage global venture capital investor is very difficult and tiring. Every day is different and there is always something to do. Technology CEO’s and entrepreneurs also have it difficult, as managing the day to day operations of a business in addition to setting the strategic path of the company is very challenging.

What’s necessary as you are trying to solve what seems to be the world’s problems is knowing when to stop and recharge the batteries. You don’t want to get in the habit of taking vacations every other week. However, if you find yourself two years without seeing some warm sunny weather…you got a problem!

With that, don’t forget from time to time to put on the breaks, step out of the car and enjoy the parts of life you normally drive right by. Both you and your loved ones will appreciate it!
