Looking for an alternative to the iPad?

March 31, 2010

With the iPad launching this Saturday, there is an extreme amount of excitement amongst consumers to get their hands on the cool device. Kleiner just announced they are doubling their iFund to $200MM to support venture capital financing of iPad apps. Startups are beefing up their product and development in efforts to launch killer apps on the device. Everything looks to be trending towards Apple’s way in the tablet market (and the device has not even hit yet). Still, this does not scare competitors from positioning their business growth strategies to capitalize on this exciting market segment.

Gizmodo released a list of good alternatives to the iPad for those who hate Apple or are so impatient that they can’t wait until Saturday (or April 12 for those who have not preordered their device yet). Take a look and maybe you will find a device that excites you more than Jobs’ new creation.
