Lucid Imagination Raised $10 million in Venture Capital Financing

Callifornia based search technology company Lucid Imagination announced on March 11th that it raised $10 million in a Series B round of venture capital investment. The press release informed that venture capital investors in that round were Granite Ventures, Shasta Ventures and Walden International. Lucid provide the search engine technology to enterprises using Apache Lucene and Apache Solr search engine technology. Even though the company competes directly against Google, the CEO of the company Erik Gries was optimistic about the future of the Lucid due to the growing customer base that includes companies like AT&T, Nike, Sears, Ford and other. According to his press release statement, the expansion capital will be used to spearhead the adoption of the Lucene/Solr search technology internationally.
