We are thrilled to welcome Pipefy to the OpenView family with the announcement of their $16M Series A financing. Founded in 2014 and led by Alessio Alionco, Pipefy provides no-code business process management software to help teams of all sizes at companies like Accenture, IBM, and Santander streamline and standardize their daily back-office workflows.

Whether you’re requesting vacation days, seeking purchase approvals, closing the books, or onboarding new employees and customers, every employee follows processes in order to achieve desired outcomes in line with their business strategies. With so many possible users and use cases, it’s no surprise that the business process management (BPM) software market has produced giants.

These players have seen success by taking the traditional top down approach to BPM, with operations departments observing, mapping, and then distributing processes back to functional units to ensure they’re carried out via the software solution. However, this process itself is slow and expensive, requiring executive buy-in and IT consultants to customize and implement solutions that are difficult for end users to adopt.

Pipefy has turned the traditional top down approach on it’s head by enabling the business user to quickly download and begin utilizing their software in real-time, instead of waiting for a centralized operations team.
