Category creation: A label by itself isn’t worth much.

According to Andy Raskin, an authority on messaging, a category name by itself is worth very little. That’s not to say he’s against category names altogether. In fact, his work typically yields one. But category names themselves are “empty vessels” that have to be filled with meaning.
