People want to Talk aka Summer is over

It is finally October, summer has MORE than officially ended. I usually struggle with this time of year (due to inability to produce adequate body heat), but it has been quite nice on the North Shore area and leaf peeping has been great because of all the rain. More importantly, September and the first half of this month have absolutely flown by.
Why? Because CEOs want to talk to me!
It gets pretty monotonous leaving multiple messages and constantly following up with companies over the warm months of summer. ESPECIALLY when automatic responses and assistants inform me that the people I want will be gone the entire month of August. That gets really old.. and why do Europeans get 3x the vacation time we do here in the States? I even heard that many Europeans get an extra month’s pay during the summer and winter holidays!
Anyway, now that 3Q has yielded some positive results and people are back from vacation-mode, a lot is starting to happen. Everyone is getting back to me, everyone wants to talk, and life is good. I’d much rather come in early with a whole giant list of things to do than leave messages. So thank you, those who want to discuss their progress, and a special thanks to those who have been or will be speaking with me about raising venture capital and listening to me about OpenView’s business development services…
