If you’re responsible for running a business, delegation will be an important part of your tasks. As someone who’s knowledgeable on productivity, Fabienne Fredrickson says that business leaders MUST focus on striking a balance between their own workload and the tasks that are best suited to be assigned.

In this short video, Fredrickson introduces an acronym titled I.C.F., which stands for “inner control freak.” She says that your I.C.F. can interfere with your productivity, if you don’t keep it restrained. Yes, there are times when it’s necessary to do a job yourself, but being able to manage your tasks — and delegating when appropriate — is often the best recipe for productivity success.
