Social Media Recruiting: Why More Companies are Using It

Bit inside conservative corporations, selling executives on the merits of social recruiting can be a challenge. And for social mavens in today’s industry, this is one of the most difficult obstacles to scale. Jenny DeVaughn, Waste Management’s social media manager, says that social media professionals need to rely on analytics to change the dated perspectives some companies hold.
In the face of hard data that demonstrates the effectiveness of social media recruiting, even the most change-adverse companies will often see the light, says DeVaughn. It’s unclear how long social media recruiting will be seen as a risky medium for recruiting and not an established resource, but by then, everybody will already be onboard the bandwagon.
