San Francisco based trip management company TripIt announced on March 4th that it raised $7 million in a Series C round of venture capital investment. The press release informed that venture capital investors in that round were Azure Capital Partners and OATV. TripIt, helps people organize and share their travel plans no matter where they book by simply forwarding their travel confirmation emails to [email protected]. TripIt automatically creates a master itinerary that combines all their travel plans plus weather, maps, restaurants and more, and facilitates easy sharing and collaboration on trips with friends, colleagues, and etc. The company plans to use the expansion capital to accelerate its growth by concentration on its product development and marketing efforts.
