More so now than with previous generations, many of today’s entrepreneurs concern themselves with social change.

The business of social change, that is. While rallying for their respective causes, many of these entrepreneurs have figured out how to capitalize on their contributions to society.

John Elkington, founder and chief entrepreneur of SustainAbility, says that these people share one common trait: they’re completely dedicated to making measurable, positive changes to society. For VC firms, these entrepreneurs present a distinct challenge when it comes to investing, as creating revenue may not be the founders’ foremost concern.
