Doing it Right: Successfully Publishing an E-Book
February 18, 2011
Everybody wants to be a published author.
Yes, even companies want to publish. But not everybody is going to be able to take this step. And the companies that do create an E-Book may not produce a successful one. This tends to happen for a number of reasons. It all begins and ends with content. If you have an inferior content marketing strategy, that will show in your book. No matter how good it is, you can’t sell a half-baked E-Book.
The next problem, which happens to be the most telling, is an inability to promote the book. If your book isn’t getting in front of an audience, you’re not selling it right. The sales process involving your book depends on your ability to pitch to your network. This includes social media, industry connections, strategic allegiances and every other available avenue.
If you fail to push your book onto the masses, it’s unlikely that they will voluntary come to get it themselves. For more on this subject, watch the video featuring Joe Pulizzi.
