Norman Nie has a gift when it comes to analytics.

He understands them at the surface level, but more importantly, he understands the impact of the data on operational management. Nie doesn’t deal with cold numbers. They speak to him.

Previously in his professional life, Nie operated an analytics analysis company, which was later involved in an acquisition with IBM. Now, he is seeking to change the way people use and integrate analytics into their company strategy – yet again. Over the 40 years that Nie, who is known as the Data Whisperer, has been working with data, he’s managed to discover many breakthroughs. His findings now explain, predict and analyze how many businesses operate.
