Market Segmentation forum – My Anticipation

March 4, 2010

At OpenView Venture Partners, a Boston venture capital firm, we try to put together an educational forum each quarter for our expansion stage portfolio companies. These meetings usually last 2 days with a networking cocktail reception the evening prior to the first morning session.

This quarter, we have put together a forum based on Market Segmentation. As the operational support person here at OpenView, I have done all of the site coordination. We set the meeting up at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, MA. This hotel has been the best venue I have used in my 3 years of forum planning. The banquet event coordinator, Erin Zimmerman, has always treated me with the utmost respect; she has truly become a partner in these forums. She is very easy to work with and helps to make the planning of these meetings an almost stress-free experience. She knows our program well at this point as this is the third time we have been at this location.

If you are going to have a meeting in Boston, I would highly recommend thinking about using the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
