I recently joined OpenView as a Recruiting Analyst, where I am responsible for recruitment for the firm and its portfolio companies. Here is a bit about me and what you can expect each week in my blog.
About Me:
I am passionate through and through, and always eager for more – which is what brought me to OpenView. What am I passionate about? I’d say travel, shoes, movies, my Kindle, and, of course, recruiting.
1. What excites you about working at OpenView?
I am so excited to work with OpenView’s innovative portfolio companies at such a vital time – the expansion stage. I am looking forward to digging in and finding the right talent for each individual company.
2. Why recruiting?
Easy: The best companies are built with the best people. I love constantly building on my network and matching top talent to the right opportunities. In recruiting there is nothing better than making a match where you know the recruit will add value by making a long lasting impact.
Another thing I’m crazy about – quotes. I’m known to chime in and tell everyone my new favorites (Cheesy? Usually). Right now, my favorite is from the opening line of The Secret Life of Salvador Dalí, the autobiography of artist Salvador Dalí, and I’d like to think it describes my personality – driven.
At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily since.”
