Ever year, many sales professionals suffer from the same habitual ailment: goal withdrawal.

It’s the result of a lack of motivation. If salespeople are no longer interested in hitting their numbers, or have lost interest in pushing themselves, they are likely exhibiting some of the symptoms of goal withdrawal.

Sales motivation expert Jeffrey Gitomer has some advice to get you out of your rut. First, he says, it’s important to refocus on your goals. Just by mentally adjusting yourself you can realign with your objectives. Also, Gitomer suggests adopting a more positive mindset. A lot of the problems simply stem from having an overly pessimistic disposition and not believing in your ability to succeed.
