Qualities a Confident Sales Leader Must Possess
June 2, 2011
What separates different calibers of leaders? Usually, it’s just a few simple traits.
Leaders that distinguish themselves through performance typically exhibit certain indispensable characteristics. Without them, they wouldn’t be as effective. For this same reason, second-tier leaders never reach the same levels of success as their more successful counterparts. What exactly does it take? Passion is often reported as a common trait of a great leader; they are usually quite motivated as a result.
Another mark of a great leader is an ability and willingness to admit the negatives. When something isn’t right, it needs to be recognized and corrected. The best leaders know this; they can adjust a company strategy and the operational management to avoid sinking the ship or to gain an edge on the competition.
Most importantly, the skills a standout leader has can’t easily be replicated. Whether they polished their talents or naturally possessed them, such a capacity is very hard to recreate. For more on great leaders, watch the video featuring Herb Greenberg.
