When it comes to CNET, the bar doesn’t get much higher.

But what does it take to start podcasting? The answer is, not much. A microphone and a computer are the basics. Of course, there are additional gadgets and software to buy, depending on how serious you are about getting into the realm.

There are websites out there, too, that offer a lot of helpful services for podcasts. Once you have all of the necessary items taken care of, it’s time to start refining the logistics behind your podcast campaign. The obvious starting point is topics for discussion. That part is out of the scope of this review, so you’re on your own.

Once you have everything setup, and you record a podcast, you need to find a way to disseminate your episodes. After all, it’s only a worthwhile endeavor if people take notice.
