Welcome to the first blog entry for Read all about I.T.

I hope to develop this blog to provide valuable information for technology professionals and executives.

My first blog is a reflection on the 2 day CFO Forum that just completed this afternoon, and was hosted by OpenView Venture Partners.

The forum was attended by members of the finance departments of Openviews expansion stage portfolio companies. During the forum, there were presentations on functional areas that typically fall under a CFO’s control. These areas included Finance obviously, Legal, Information Technology, and Administration.

The main focus for everyone was on the finance portion that Cynthia Mignogna presented, which we hope that the companies can use to develop a good company exit strategy. There was also valuable information provided by our Legal Eagle Jeremy Aber. Vlad Djuric spoke about the values of a good Intranet for getting information to employees. I also threw in my two cents on ways that I.T. can help to make employees more efficient.

In all it was a valuable two days spent with a great group of people.
