What prevents a salesperson from cold calling?

More often than not, fear is the most obvious blockade preventing sales professionals from reaching their quotes and performing. How is it overcome? First, you need to gather your thoughts. A lot of times, unchecked worries will manifest themselves and leave you paralyzed. But as part of any healthy sales process, you should rely on a developed sales methodology to get you back on track.

Start by pinpointing the source of the fear. You’ll notice that your worries can often be tied back to an amplified focus on yourself. And that is at the root of the problem. You should take the focus off of you and put it on the target. That way, you’re not pressured.
